Jimmy Anderson called in to England T20 squad as cover for Steven Finn

6th September 2012

• Anderson set to return to 20-over cricket
• Finn still struggling with a back problem

Jimmy Anderson is poised for a return to 20-over cricket after being called into the England squad for the Twenty20 series against South Africa as cover for Steven Finn, who has a stiff back.

The 30-year-old Anderson has not played for England in the shortest form of the game since his appearance against South Africa in a match at Centurion in November 2009.

He is not part of the England squad for the ICC World Twenty20 which starts in Sri Lanka later in September.

Finn did not feature in the final one-day international against the Proteas on Wednesday because of his back problem.
